We also take note of the most common test routes completed by past students to help you prepare for your final driving test. We will make sure you are familiar with the particular intersections and ‘traps’ around roads you are likely to encounter in your test in areas such as Ashgrove, Toowong, Bardon and Rosalie. We will provide realistic feedback in terms of how an Examiner would view and score your drive, just as if you were sitting your actual driving test.

In your driving lessons, you will be covering all the key roads and intersections around the city fringe.

You will also have the opportunity to practise difficult multi-lane roundabouts at Toowong as well as low speed freeway merging onto the ICB (Inner City Bypass) and Western freeway. Also covered will be high speed freeway merging onto the Riverside expressway leading onto the M1.

You will receive ample opportunities to practise turning right at traffic light intersections, (sometimes turning on a red light) at Milton Road and also at Suncorp Stadium. We will also bring to your attention the tricky speed limit changes and speed limited school and work zones around Rosalie and the wider inner city suburbs.

You will need to be competent at recognising Form 1 Lane, merge right signs and to apply the specific give way rules relating to these scenarios. Also being able to demonstrate your early recognition of the sign and line changes ahead and performing the necessary indicator, mirror and shoulder checks to the lane beside you, to manage a safe merge are essential habits to display.
